Jayson Tatum has talked about the Jaylen Brown trade, but not like this.
In the latest episode of his "Summer of Tatum" video series, the Boston Celtics star revealed how he found out that Brown had been traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.
It's safe to say that Tatum was as surprised as everyone else.
"Bro, we was in Vegas," Tatum explained. "I just got done playing pickup the first day. Sham walked over. He handed me the towel. He was like, 'Yo, put this over your face. Don't react. They just traded them.' I'm like, 'Oh, s—.' I'm like, 'Where?' He said, 'Philly.' I said, 'They traded them down the street.' So I was just as much caught off guard as the rest of the world."

Tatum and Brown were teammates for nine seasons in Boston. They joined the franchise as No. 3 picks in consecutive drafts and developed into All-Stars, All-NBA players and NBA champions together.
Tatum looks back on their time together fondly.
"I've very much been transparent about how thankful I personally am for our relationship and what we were able to accomplish over nine years," Tatum continued. "Talk about 2017 to 2025 or six. Jason and Jaylen, you won't ever be able to talk about one of us without the other. And, you know, just our ability to grow up as kids and go through our ups and downs, and people talking about one of us had to go and we couldn't win together.
"There's a lot of s— that we had to deal with."
The former Celtics teammates have already been reunited, although Brown did not play when Philadelphia visited Boston for a preseason matchup earlier this month. The two did share the floor during warmups, however, where they were captured on video appearing not to acknowledge each other.
Whether there's actually any bad blood between them, their first regular-season matchup should be fascinating.
