SEATTLE, Oct. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Prepare to be mesmerized by Mesmerize. To fall in love with Friday. And to be lured in by Lucille Mae.
Trupanion, North America’s largest pet insurer, is proud to announce this year’s truFame winners, ten pets who will be the faces of Trupanion in 2027.
These pets aren’t just adorable faces though; they are stories of survival.
Lucille Mae, a 14-year-old domestic shorthair, has battled through kidney disease, emergency surgery and cancer but is still going strong.
“To us, Trupanion is so much more than pet insurance. It has been the reason Lucille is still happy and next to me,” said Lucille’s pet parents in their truFame submission. “Having Trupanion insurance has meant being able to say yes to the tests, treatments, specialists, and care she needed without having to ask ourselves if we could afford it.”

Stories like Lucille’s are at the heart of Trupanion’s annual truFame campaign. This year more than 5,700 Trupanion members and pet lovers submitted their inspiring stories and heartwarming photos to trufame.trupanion.com.
“I’d like to pass on a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who took time to share their story with us. At Trupanion, the heart of our mission comes down to helping pets and their families, so our annual truFame campaign is an inspiring reminder of why we do what we do,” said Margi Tooth, Trupanion CEO and President. “It’s always a treat to see the faces of the cats and dogs we have the pleasure of supporting. From toys swallowed whole and common mischief mishaps to treatments for lifelong conditions and heart-wrenching emergencies, we work every day to be there for the pets who are always there for us.”
To decide the truFame winners, Trupanion members and other pet lovers voted on a series of finalists. And after tens of thousands of votes, Trupanion is proud to present the winners of our annual truFame contest.
