Eberechi Eze was subbed on early in Arsenal’s match against Bayern Munich after Bukayo Saka could not continue the game because of an injury. The Englishman has been inconsistent since he moved to the Emirates, and in this campaign he does not get as much game time as he did before.
The midfielder is a top player at Arsenal; however, he is also someone who needs to play better, and he knows it, as there are so many top players in the Gunners’ squad. Mikel Arteta is doing his best to ensure the team is in fine shape with him as a contributor, but he has to play his part whenever he steps on the pitch.
Eze’s Impact Against Bayern
Against Bayern, he can say he did his part to help Arsenal avoid a defeat in Bavaria, and Arteta was happy with the way he performed when he came on. The manager said to Arsenal Media:
“I’m really impressed with all our forwards. I thought Ebs had a great game, not just the goal but his actions, overall performance and without the ball as well. When the others came in, I thought they really contributed to both the energy and providing the tools needed for the team to get something out of the game. So, I’m really pleased again.”
Arteta’s praise is significant, as it shows the manager’s faith in Eze, and the midfielder’s performance against Bayern was a reminder of his quality. The goal was the highlight, but his overall contribution was equally important.

A Chance to Build Momentum
Eze’s inconsistency has been a concern, but performances like this could change that, and the midfielder will be keen to build on it. The competition for places is fierce, and he knows he must deliver whenever he gets the chance.
The goal against Bayern could be a turning point, and the fans will hope he can find more consistency. Arsenal’s depth is a strength, and Eze is a key part of that. His next performance will be watched closely.
