IQ Entities extends the firm’s AI beyond the boardroom, taking on the complex work involved in managing legal entities and turning entity information into a strategic asset for company secretaries, general counsels, chief governance officers, and their teams.
For most organisations, entity management remains a manual task. A single change, such as the appointment of a director, can mean updates across several registers and systems, as well as statutory filings. Pressure on governance teams is also growing. In the UK, from 1 April 2028, Companies House will require all companies to file annual accounts using commercial software.
Entity management software has traditionally offered a static database rather than an agentic system, with AI functionality typically bolted onto an existing software tool or managed service and limited to reading documents and suggesting changes. IQ Entities goes further. It has been built from the ground up with AI at its core, and brings reading, acting, and filing together in one innovative system that combines three types of AI to take a change from signed to filed:
- Extractive AI reads source documents, such as share purchase agreements, resolutions, and articles of association. It identifies what has changed and lists the record updates, deadlines, and filings that need to follow.
- Agentic AI carries out that work once a member of the governance team gives the go-ahead. A single approval updates registers and sets new deadlines. In the UK, it checks records against the Companies House register and files directly under the organisation’s own presenter account.
- Intelligent Insight AI answers any question about an entity or group in seconds, with every answer traced to its source. Group structure charts update as records change.
All three types of AI draw on the expertise that underpins every Board Intelligence product, applying methods refined over 20 years of advising boards and governance teams.
Every change requires human approval. IQ Entities is ISO 27001 certified and independently penetration tested. Client data is never used to train AI models, and the models keep no trace of it once a request is complete.
Jonathan Knight, Chief Product Officer at Board Intelligence, said: “Entity management systems have long been good at storing records, but the work around those records has stayed manual. IQ Entities brings three types of AI together to change that. It does the legwork — reading the paperwork, working out what needs to happen next, and then acting on it — while governance professionals stay in control.”
IQ Entities is the latest innovation from Board Intelligence, the leader in boardroom AI. It follows the launch of the firm’s AI board meeting preparation tool, IQ Experts, earlier this year. It also builds on Board Intelligence’s recent combination with legal technology platform Juristic.
IQ Entities is available now. It can be used on its own or alongside Board Intelligence’s board portal, which is trusted by 85,000 leaders at some of the world’s most demanding organisations, including FTSE 100, OMX 30, and Fortune 500 businesses.
Pippa Begg, CEO of Board Intelligence, said: “Our team has spent two decades learning how the best boards work, and building that insight into AI tools that our clients love. I’m proud of how they’ve put it to work in IQ Entities, the most advanced entity management system available today. Governance teams have waited a long time for a smarter system that automates admin, so they can focus on adding value for their organisations and boards. Now they have it.”
