Digital University Kerala (DUK) has retained the 4-star rating in the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) assessment by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell for 2024-25. The university secured the 4-star rating for the second consecutive year.
The assessment is aimed at fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions. At DUK, IIC serves as a platform to encourage students, staff and faculty to explore new ideas, develop innovative solutions and engage in entrepreneurial activities through structured programmes, mentoring, workshops, hackathons and collaboration with industry and the start-up ecosystem.
Vice-Chancellor Saji Gopinath was quoted as saying in a press release that the rating reflects DUK’s ability to continually innovate its activities and to imbibe the spirit of innovation among all stakeholders, including students and faculty.
