The Charlotte Hornets and Brandon Miller have agreed to a five-year, $209 million extension to his rookie contract, ESPN’s Shams Charania reports.
The two sides agreed to the deal Monday, hours ahead of a deadline for players from Miller’s draft class to sign an extension. Had they not reached agreement on a deal, Miller would have played the upcoming season on a team option, then gone into next offseason as a restricted free agent.
