iFamily SC (114840.KQ) said on the 13th that its cosmetics brand Rom&nd has opened a pop-up store at the "Rom&nd Pink Office" in Seoul's Seongsu-dong to mark the brand's 10th anniversary. The pop-up will run through Nov. 10.
The event was designed to look back on how makeup trends have changed over the decade since the brand launched in 2016 and to connect with consumers who have followed its growth. The space was laid out so visitors can experience a range of makeup styles in one place, including warm tones, cool tones and the "mulmul" tone that falls between the two.
Rom&nd held an invitation-only preview on Oct. 10 and 11 ahead of the official opening. About 1,800 people visited over the two days, including domestic and overseas creators, media representatives and general consumers. Celebrities with ties to the brand also attended.
On the first day, Oct. 10, Wonhee of the girl group ILLIT visited and met fans. In a talk program, she introduced the Rom&nd products she uses regularly and how she applies her makeup, and took part in interactive events with visitors. She also joined a 10th-anniversary performance in which the brand's signature lip products were placed into a large cake model.
On the second day, Oct. 11, Sung Ji-young, who has served as a Rom&nd model since 2018, visited the venue. She congratulated the brand on its anniversary and spent time with consumers.
Limited-edition products created for the anniversary were also unveiled. They include "The Juicy Lasting Tint," featuring three popular shades selected through a vote by 2,500 consumers in South Korea, China and Japan, and the "Better Than Palette #Bestie Edition," which reinterprets in neutral tones 20 shades that consumers used until the pans hit bottom. The products will go on general sale at Olive Young's online and offline stores starting Nov. 1.
