It will take place Sunday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. at Acadia’s University Hall in Wolfville.
A beloved holiday tradition, Christmas With Friends brings together outstanding musical talent for an evening of inspirational music, seasonal favourites, and Christmas spirit. This year’s special guests, Maureen, Karen, and Teresa Ennis, have been captivating audiences worldwide for more than 25 years with their beautiful harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and distinctive blend of Celtic, traditional Newfoundland, and folk music.
The Ennis Sisters launched their recording career in 1997 with their debut album, Red Is the Rose. Since then, they have released 14 full-length studio albums and earned numerous honours, including a Juno Award, a SOCAN Award, and multiple East Coast Music Awards and MusicNL Awards. Their music celebrates the warmth, resilience, and rich cultural traditions of Newfoundland and Labrador, creating a powerful connection with audiences wherever they perform.
MacLean has been sharing her music with audiences since childhood, performing for more than 15 years with her sister Mary as the sibling duo The MacLeans, recording five independent albums, before launching a solo career that includes Beyond the Rain (2013) and Falling Snow (2019). Throughout her career, she has shared the stage with acclaimed Canadian artists, including Alan Frew, Dan Hill, Jimmy Rankin, Bruce Guthro, Heather Rankin, Terry Kelly, and Michelle Wright.
With MacLean’s warm vocals and much-loved seasonal repertoire alongside the Ennis Sisters’ celebrated harmonies, this year’s Christmas With Friends promises an uplifting evening of music and holiday cheer.
