According to her, it was the day she sat in a courtroom while DNA results were read aloud to confirm she had not been unfaithful to her ex-husband, the father of her children.
Courtroom She Will Never Forget
In an emotional post shared on social media, Achieng said her ex-partner refused to provide for their children unless she could prove, through a DNA test, that they were his.

The demand forced her into a legal process that she described as deeply humiliating. She recalled how she looked at her children and then at their father and could not understand why he would put all of them through such emotional pain.
"This day the DNA results were read in court remains one of the worst days of my life," she wrote, adding that the results came back at 99.99%, confirming her children's paternity beyond any scientific doubt.
Rather than letting the experience break her, Achieng chose to keep the official document. She shared copies with close relatives as a form of insurance, ensuring that if she were to pass on before her children were fully grown, they would still have access to the truth about what happened.
Lessons from DNA Drama
Her decision to go public was not about revenge. In her own words, it was about testimony. She wanted her children to understand their story when they are old enough to ask questions, and she wanted her own integrity to stand on record.
She also offered a candid reflection on why some men make such demands. She wrote that she came to understand, with time, that unfaithful partners often project their own behaviour onto others, assuming everyone is capable of the same choices they make.
"This is my testimony, my truth, and my evidence of having passed the DNA test," she said. "Evidence that I stood by the truth, even when I was subjected to humiliation and pain."
Her words struck a chord online, resonating with many women who have faced similar experiences in silence.
By speaking out, Achieng framed her painful experience not as a source of shame, but as a story worth telling: for herself, and for her children.
