Anthony Pettis seeks family redemption after Sergio Pettis' boxing loss in India
Goyat (21-4-2, 9 KOs), 34, is a former WBC Asia champion who has competed internationally for more than a decade. He joined MVP in 2024 and defeated Brazilian influencer Whindersson Nunes by unanimous decision on the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson undercard.
Pettis captured the WEC lightweight championship in 2010 before winning the Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight title in 2013. He also defeated Roy Jones Jr. by majority decision in his professional boxing debut at Gamebred Boxing 4 in April 2023.
The matchup also has personal significance for Pettis. His younger brother, Sergio Pettis, lost a unanimous decision to Indian boxer Sabari Jaishankar in Hyderabad in March 2025. Anthony hopes to avenge that defeat.
Further undercard information, broadcast arrangements and ticket details will be announced later.
