The amount of time it takes for a house to sell in Perth has more than doubled over the past year, according to new data from Cotality.
And the firm’s October Housing Chart Pack, released today, also reveals dwelling values in Perth slid by 4.7 per cent over the September quarter.
It detailed a “weak” start to spring that research director Tim Lawless said reflected more than the usual seasonal interruptions.
“School holidays and football finals can disrupt the market during September, but they don’t explain the extent of the slowdown we’re seeing in sales activity or why homes are taking so much longer to sell,” Lawless said.
