MOKOKCHUNG, OCTOBER 11 (MExN): The Tzurangkong Senso Senden has opposed the ultimatum issued by the Civil Society Organisation (CSO), Mangkolemba, demanding the resignation of Nagaland Minister Temjen Imna Along over the construction of the Multipurpose Hall in Mokokchung. In a press release, the Tzurangkong Senso Senden termed the demand “neither an appropriate course of action nor directly relevant to addressing the concerns surrounding the construction of Multipurpose Hall Mokokchung, Nagaland.” It maintained that issues concerning public infrastructure and community welfare should be addressed through constructive dialogue and progressive suggestions rather than ultimatums.“Such course of action does not contribute to finding any meaningful solution,” it stated. The organisation said voters of the 30 Alongtaki Assembly Constituency had elected Along for consecutive terms, expressing faith in his ability to bring prosperity and development to the area. It further stated that the trust and support of citizens and civil society organisations in the area continued, and questioned the propriety of voters outside the constituency issuing ultimatums demanding the minister’s resignation. It alleged that such demands, if made without a lawful basis, could be driven by political considerations and personal interests rather than a genuine effort to resolve the issue. “Lasting solutions can be achieved only through cooperation and collective responsibility,” the organisation stated, appealing to all concerned to rise above political considerations, personal interests and confrontational attitudes. It reiterated its confidence in Along’s leadership and vision and called for a peaceful and responsible approach to addressing the matter.
