Welcome to the meat and potatoes of the college football season. This Saturday, the cream of the crop will show up in multiple ranked matchups, along with a few ranked-vs.-unranked games featuring real talent that may pop up in the 2027 NFL Draft.
With most of the cupcakes out of the way, several draft picks have big games ahead in Week 7 of college football, but here are 10 prospects Atlanta Falcons fans should watch.
Nick Marsh, WR, Indiana vs. Ohio State
Memorial Stadium – Bloomington, IN – 12 pm EST – Fox
Nick Marsh route salesmanship. Very snappy mover at 6025 & his head fakes at the top of the stem are so convincing pic.twitter.com/QeOrGcF5Ex

While Charlie Becker may be the more well-rounded prospect, Nick Marsh has the tools a quarterback like Michael Penix might find appealing. He wins on out-breaking routes; he snaps his head and hips at the top of the route, forcing separation and making himself an immediate target for quarterbacks who throw with anticipation, like Penix. Overall, Marsh projects as a solid X or Z receiver in a Tommy Rees offense, allowing Drake London to move around the formations and unlock even more production.
Emmanuel Oyebadejo, DL, Florida @ Texas
DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium – Austin, TX – 12 pm EST – ABC
Florida DL Emmanuel Oyebadejo (6'6 299) was a basketball player in England before giving football a try first at University of Exeter, then Jacksonville state and now Florida

He's still very raw but he also shows the traits of a starting NFL DL. Size/Power/Athleticism #NFLDraftpic.twitter.com/rtJt1NIDgj
6’6”, 300 pounds is not supposed to move as it does for Florida defensive lineman Emmanuel Oyebadejo. A former English basketball player, Oyebadejo is still a raw prospect who needs to learn some of the nuances of the defensive line. However, Oyebadejo already has the raw movement skills, power, and quickness needed to be a high-end prospect.
Isaac Smith, S, Mississippi State @ LSU
Tiger Stadium – Baton Rouge, LA – 12 pm EST – ESPN
Isaac Smith from Mississippi State is a massive dude for a safety. I have some concerns about the lateral agility and overall athleticism for sticking at safety, so a move to linebacker could make some sense for the next level. pic.twitter.com/Wmn20bnQsu

Having a big body at safety is always an advantage; when that safety can play the run like a linebacker, it adds another layer of versatility to the defense. Isaac Smith is a big safety at 6’0”, 220 pounds, and he can come in on day one and add to the special teams unit with his ability to find a ball carrier and bring him to the turf.
Xavier Gilliam, DT, Tennessee vs. Alabama
Neyland Stadium – Knoxville, TN – 3:30 pm EST – ABC
The Xavier Gilliam Auburn tape is some pretty electric stuff for an IDL. Reminds me of a lighter footed Walter Nolen. Sky's the limit. pic.twitter.com/uudcA32rUX

The Falcons have done a sensational job getting the most out of their defensive line, largely thanks to the synergy between defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich and defensive line coach Nate Ollie. Gervon Dexter and Brandon Dorlus are two of the best at the position right now at getting pressure on the quarterback, but adding a rookie like Xavier Gilliam to the rotation would be a dream come true. At 6’2”, 305 pounds, Gilliam is having the best season of anyone at the position; he has 11 tackles for loss, 22 QB pressures, and 16 run stops, according to PFF. Gilliam’s blend of speed and strength is extremely tantalizing.
Patrick Kutas, OL, Ole Miss vs. Missouri
Vaught-Hemingway Stadium – Oxford, MS – 3:30 pm EST – SEC Network

✅ Wide base and stout anchor
✅ Technician on the line with great hand placement and strike timing
✅ Over 1,800 career snaps played entering the 2026 season
✅ Has logged snaps at every spot except left tackle during his career pic.twitter.com/B5wVFdEotk
The offensive line will need more depth as Stefanski’s offensive vision becomes clearer. Patrick Kutas has played every position on the line except for left tackle, dating back to his time at Arkansas. As a right guard at Ole Miss, he’s started to find his niche on the interior, relying more on his technique to succeed. His hands don’t have much pop, but they’re enough to turn defenders where he needs them.
Audavion Collins, CB, Penn State @ Michigan
Michigan Stadium – Ann Arbor, MI – 3:30 pm EST – CBS
Audavion Collins, CB Penn State 🔵⚪️
— peyton (@pdubyaa) October 17, 2026
Listed at 5'11 181
• Super instinctive player
• Very physical with receivers
• Very quick mover
• Good footwork and agility
• Creates tight windows for QB's
• Sticky in coverage; 5 PBU's
• 39.6 Passer Rating when targeted
• Has only…
I’ve been looking for bigger cornerbacks for the Falcons to bring in because they seem to struggle against big, physical receivers, mostly because of the size of both Terrells and Mike Hughes. I’m throwing all of that away because of how Penn State’s Audavion Collins has played heading into this week. Listed at 5’11”, 185 pounds, he has allowed only two catches on seven targets through six games and has showcased elite speed and footwork that keep him in position to make a play on the ball.
Evan Johnson, CB, BYU vs. Notre Dame
LaVell Edwards Stadium – Provo, UT – 7:30 pm EST – ABC
BYU CB Evan Johnson (@__Evxn) had a breakout year for the Cougars, earning Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors.
— Bryan (@RealBGauvin23) May 1, 2026
Listed at 6'0", 185 lbs, the Monterey, California native recorded 47 tackles (2 TFLs), a sack, 8 PBUs, and a team-leading 5 interceptions.
Look for Johnson and… pic.twitter.com/iyedxjtbY7
Coming into this season, one of the hotter names at cornerback was Evan Johnson, especially after his Pop-Tart Bowl performance, where he allowed only one catch on six targets and recorded an interception. At 6’0”, 181 pounds, Johnson has had a fine start to the 2026 season, but he gets the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and superstar quarterback C.J. Carr in primetime. This could be a breakout game in a big moment for BYU.
Patrick Overmyer, TE, Houston vs. Oklahoma State
TDECU Stadium – Houston, TX – 7:30 pm EST – Fox
— Valentin (@ScoutValentin) October 15, 2026
If the Falcons want to add more of a receiving option to the tight end room, Houston’s Patrick Overmyer would be a great addition. Last week against Kansas State, he had nine receptions for 83 yards and four touchdowns, all in the red zone. Atlanta could use another consistent red zone threat like Overmyer, especially if he can show more as a run blocker before the year ends.
Coleton Price, C, Kentucky @ Oklahoma
Memorial Stadium – Norman, OK – 7:30 pm EST – SEC Network

I understand that Ryan Neuzil is putting some of his best work on tape, but he still is going to be a free agent next season, and who knows if Ian Cunningham and company will pay the premium that may be necessary to keep him in house. If they want to look in a different direction, Kentucky’s Coleton Price may be an avenue to explore, especially if he has a good day against Oklahoma’s David Stone.
Andrew Marshall, CB, Nebraska @ Oregon
Autzen Stadium – Eugene, OR – 11 pm EST – Fox
Nebraska CB Andrew Marshall (6' 195) has been lights out in coverage this season
— Draft Capital Podcast (@TheDraftCapital) October 1, 2026
Targeted 13 times, Marshall has allowed just 2 receptions for 10 yards
If you're an NFL team that plays a lot of zone or off-man, Marshall can help. Smart, Disciplined and sticky in coverage pic.twitter.com/Mm2NfiQ0NF
It takes a lot of discipline to play cornerback in a zone-heavy scheme, it takes a lot of patience and football IQ, and there aren’t many that play off a receiver better than Nebraska’s Andrew Marshall. Even when in traditional man, he’s ot the technique to stay attached to the hip of his receiver, leading him to one of the better allowed passer ratings in the country.
Which prospects are you keeping an eye on Saturday? Which of these players would be the best fits for Atlanta? Let us know in the comments.
