The UFC middleweight champion and Vasti exchanged vows at La Paris Estate on Saturday, 10 October 2026, with family, close friends and well-known faces from South African sport and entertainment in attendance.
What was on the wedding menu
The reception kicked off with a seafood spread that included fresh oysters and mussels, with The Mussel Monger & Oyster Bar appearing to be among the suppliers behind the offering. Guests then moved on to a selection of meat dishes, including steak and chicken, served alongside various salads.
The balance of lighter accompaniments and hearty mains gave the menu a broad appeal, catering to the range of guests gathered at the winelands venue.

Tiramisu tower and Gelato for dessert
When it came to the sweet course, the couple went well beyond the customary wedding cake. Guests were also served a tiramisu tower and gelato ice cream, adding a touch of Italian flair to proceedings.
The wedding cake itself drew plenty of attention, a white, table-length creation decorated with strawberries, raspberries and macarons that became one of the visual centrepieces of the reception.
The day brought together a cross-section of South African sporting and entertainment royalty. Former Springbok captain Victor Matfield was among those who attended, as were singers Bobby and Karlien van Jaarsveld.
For Dricus and Vasti, the wedding represented a significant milestone in a relationship that began at CIT Boxing Studio in Pretoria in 2023. The couple announced their engagement in January 2025 before finally sealing the moment at one of the Western Cape's most celebrated wedding destinations.
