Week 6 Sunday Night Football brings us the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. Two of the most storied NFL franchises are set to meet in what could be an offensive frenzy. The Cowboys’ offense ranks 11th in yards per game, and the Packers will look to exploit a Cowboys defense that surrenders the 2nd–most yards per game.
Sunday night’s outcome will have direct consequences for each team’s division. Green Bay is nipping at Minnesota’s heels, and Dallas cannot afford to lose more games in a weak NFC East division. Heading into Sunday night, here are four bold predictions.

Green Bay’s Tucker Kraft produces the best game since before last year’s injury
Before injuring his knee in Week 9 of the 2025-2026 season, Kraft was producing incredible numbers. In the first eight weeks, the tight end caught 30 passes (on 41 targets), for 469 yards and six touchdowns. In five games, Kraft hasn’t looked like the dominant force from early last season.
He’s still regaining pre-injury form, and his lack of production directly correlates with Green Bay’s lack of consistency on offense. The meeting with Dallas will be a breakout game for Tucker Kraft. The tight end will see plenty of targets against a Cowboys defense that gives opposing tight ends a lot.
Prediction: Tucker Kraft has the best game since his return from injury, finishing with six receptions, 125 yards, and two touchdowns.
Dallas running back Javonte Williams reaches 100 yards rushing for the first time this season

Green Bay’s defense is allowing the 9th–fewest yards per game, but defending the run is a glaring issue. The Packers have allowed the 8th–most rushing yards this season.
Sunday night’s primetime game will see Javonte Williams break out. Last season, the Cowboys running back had two games with multiple rushing touchdowns. Sunday night’s game will be the second time in two weeks that he finds the end zone.
Prediction: Javonte Williams torches the Packers on the ground, rushing for 100 yards for the first time this season and scoring multiple rushing touchdowns for the second straight week.

Green Bay’s rookie kicker Trey Smack misses multiple field goals and an extra point in a second consecutive game

The Packers aren’t getting the ROI they hoped for after drafting Trey Smack in the 6th round of April’s draft. The kicker enters Sunday with the 3rd–lowest field goal and extra point percentages.
His misses haven’t affected the outcome of a game yet. That changes Sunday night as the kicker struggles in Green Bay’s 50-degree weather.
Prediction: The Packers’ rookie kicker misses two field goals and one extra point. The seven lost points are the difference in the team’s primetime loss.
Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer saves his job for another week

The Cowboys’ coach is one of a handful of coaches on the hot seat. The team can easily be 5-0, but questionable playcalling has affected the outcomes of their three losses. Schottenheimer’s emphasis on the running game plays a big role in Sunday night’s success.
However, the defense allows Green Bay to trade scoring drives. The Cowboys win by six points and are saved by two missed field goals and one extra point miss by the Packers’ rookie kicker.
Prediction: The Cowboys win, and Schottenheimer saves his job by the skin of his teeth.
