Calling all Gleeks - a reboot of the iconic and infamous series is in the works.
Disney+ and Hulu have green-lit a new production of Ryan Murphy’s hit musical ‘dramedy’ series, which ran from 2009 to 2015.
While it has not been announced who will star in the series, Murphy previously said he has been in touch with “around ten of the original cast members” of the show.

“It’s very sweet, and they all had a lot of questions, but they all were very enthusiastic about the idea,” he told Entertainment Tonight last month.
He has revealed that he has written a reboot script with collaborators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, who worked with him on the original show.
The Fox series ran for six seasons and followed a show choir at fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio.
The ensemble cast included Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Amber Riley, Heather Morris, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum Jr as well as the late Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera.
While details surrounding the new reboot are scarce, former leading lady Michele has previously expressed her interest in reprising her role of Rachel Berry.
She told E! News last month: “I love Glee. I will always love Glee. [The show] just holds such a special place in my heart for me,” she explained. “So, I will follow Ryan wherever he goes.”

Meanwhile, her co-star Chris Colfer, who played Kurt Hummel on the show, told Bustle this month that he would consider doing the show again.
“It was a really tough show to do, and it would be really hard to do it now that Naya [Rivera] is gone,” he explained. “But I do know that Glee fans would probably come after me with pitchforks and jazz hands if I said no.
“So I don’t know, but hopefully I’ll have more information and I can actually think about it.”

Back in July, Murphy, who recently released new seasons of both American Horror Story and Monster, said that he had a “great time” making the show.
“That show is interesting because it’s come back around. So many young people now watch it. And I’m like, ‘Maybe we should revisit that show’,” he told People in July.
“My nostalgia and love for that show is enough that I’m like, ‘Well, maybe people would like to see a new incarnation of that in some capacity,’” Murphy teased. “So yeah, I love that show and I loved what it became and what it meant to so many people.”
