The Boston Celtics are showing early signs of tight coherence from their starters right through their deep rotation in preseason play, their togetherness and leadership helping them to an undefeated run in preseason play. Rising players are establishing roles (even if what we saw in Boston's 4-0 run is not necessarily indicative of what we will see in the regular season) and vets are carving out niches as well.
Forward Sam Hauser sees these developments as auspicious nonetheless, and said as much after the Celtics secured their fourth and final preseason tilt on Friday night. "It's been great," said Hauser via CLNS Media. "I think Jordan (Walsh), Baylor (Scheierman), Hugo (González), Ron (Harper Jr.), All throughout training camp, to this point, have looked really good."
"And that's awesome for our team, because those four guys bring a different dynamic to what we're trying to do," he added, "and we're excited to see what they can do for us throughout the year."
Hauser also shared how Paul George is impacting the team in preseason play, as well as what he sees in the vet's future with Boston. "I feel like he's very open (to) adapting to what we're trying to do, how we're trying to cater to his strengths, how he can help us best, and he's been pretty open-minded about it, which is great," he said.
"He's got a lot of experience in the league, a very good player, very impactful on both ends of the floor. I think at his best and what he does best, it's really going to help us in the best of ways."
