Dogecoin could see its first daily death cross in 2026 as the moving averages hint at a convergence in the coming days. The positioning of the daily MA 50 highlights a potential death cross, as it currently tilts downward, with the daily MA 200 flattened.
Dogecoin had its first daily golden cross of 2026 in October, but profit-taking in the crypto market saw the DOGE price fall to a low of $0.077. It seems as if bears are making frantic attempts to invalidate this bullish signal, with a potential death cross on the cards.
The timing of the death cross or its appearance remains unknown, as a trend shift might offset bears, invalidating the current setup. At the time of writing, DOGE was trading up 3.19% in the last 24 hours to $0.081 following an earlier selloff as investors weighed hotter-than-expected inflation data and Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh's latest comments on interest rates.

Potential trend shift ahead?
Dogecoin last saw a death cross on its daily chart in November 2025, which preceded months of selling before the latest golden cross. This puts focus on the price setup in case the death cross eventually shows up.

In a contrarian approach, crypto analyst Ali shared three reasons to be bullish on Dogecoin in a recent X post. First, the TD Sequential, which has marked potential turning points before for Dogecoin, has flashed a buy signal on the DOGE daily chart near $0.081. Second, URPD data shows about 36 billion DOGE were previously traded around $0.081. Third, whales appear to be buying near that support, adding 600 million DOGE since October 12.
If $0.081 holds and DOGE rebounds, Ali names the $0.16–$0.17 range as a potential profit-taking zone.
