Pamela Anderson will not "be told" what "beautiful" is.
The Baywatch star, 59, has transitioned to a mostly makeup-free lifestyle for her public appearances for the past three years, and she has insisted the idea of beauty is "so subjective".
She told People: "When I think about beauty, I think of ancient beauty.
"I really put the blinders on for what’s going on around me, and what do I love? What do I want to do? It’s not necessarily about being pretty.
"Beauty, I think, is more of an inner radiance.
"I will not be told what beautiful is.
"I have my own version of beauty, and it’s ageless. And it’s not comparative to other people."
Pamela - who was widely regarded as a global sex symbol of the 1990s during her time on TV series Baywatch, in which she played lifeguard C.J. Parker - went for a make-up-free look at Paris Fashion Week in September 2023, and she was shocked by the public's reaction.
The Last Showgirl star previously told The Sunday Times newspaper: "There are these beautiful clothes. I’m wearing Vivienne Westwood. I have this great hat and beautiful coat. Nobody’s going to notice if I don’t wear any make-up.
"I didn’t realise it was going to start all of this, all these people really relating to me."
Pamela thinks her appearance sent a strong message to other women.
She explained: "It’s a great message - we are good enough just the way we are.
"I have to remind myself of that every day."
The former Playboy Playmate of the Month also previously told how she doesn't want to be "defined" by other people.
Speaking about going make-up free in public, she told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "You know, I'm 57 years old. A lot of my career was about physicality, and it's been a journey.
"But it's also been part of the reason why I've kind of done this experiment with myself; just to peel it all back, remember who I am, and not be defined by what people do to me, but defined by what I do, and just to have passion for the work and not become bitter or jaded, still finding joy in the process, in life and in this business."
