Available in Vancouver at the pop-up shop located at 820 Granville St., fans have been flocking to the temporary store to snag a limited-edition piece during the singer-songwriter’s record-breaking five-concert run at the stadium.
The store lineups have required extra personnel to manage fans on the Granville Strip, but they’re still short compared to the waits for Mars merchandise tents inside and outside the downtown venue.

On Monday night, an off night for The Romantic Tour’s run in Vancouver, the number of people waiting to get into the shop was barely past the outside billboard. A monitor advised shoppers that business was expected to pickup for the next two days as the tour run comes to a close, and those wanting a shorter wait time should aim for the first few hours of opening as lines tend to get longer the closer it gets to the venue admission gates opening at 5 p.m.

A shorter lineup on Granville Street beats waiting in the incredibly long lines for the regular tour merchandise that were documented on opening night at the arena. There, lines reached almost all the way from the second-floor seating zones to the upper-level entry gates. Many waiting fans probably missed the excellent opening acts waiting to get a tour tee or bandana.

As for what’s hot at the Hello Kitty pop-up shop, a staffer listed off a selection of gear that is moving fast with fans. They also gave some inside tips about the daily drops of ultra-limited items.
“Every day, there is a period of about two hours where we have a certain number of boxes of specialty gear that will only be sold here once,” they said. “The long sleeve heavy sports jerseys have been instant sell outs in this category.”

Additional top-ranked items include the zip-up hoodies in a selection of colours, the cute Bruno and Hello Kitty tees in white, and the I Just Might key chains that feature a tiny Bruno Mars in a custom green suit and signature red bandana. As for prices, the key chains will set you back $18 and the hoodies top $180-plus.
The Bruno Mars x Hello Kitty pop-up for The Romantic World Tour is open until Oct. 21, running 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Those wanting to catch either tomorrow or Wednesday’s performances at B.C. Place can check Ticketmaster.ca for resale tickets.
