Another action-packed football Sunday is in the books, and now it’s time to reflect on the biggest letdowns from NFL Week 6. This week, that list includes A.J. Brown, but he’s certainly not alone.

Jacksonville Jaguars

It’s not that the Houston Texans are a bad team, but they came into Sunday’s matchup with just one win and four losses. Yet, as the Jacksonville Jaguars discovered, the Texans are still very capable. Still, London is supposed to be the Jaguars’ home away from home, but the Texans got the best of this four-win team on Sunday, pulling Houston a bit closer in the AFC South. The Jaguars lost by just three points, but allowed a season-high 114 rushing yards to a Texans team that’s had one of the NFL’s worst rushing offenses coming into the matchup.

A.J. Brown

When the New England Patriots traded a 2028 first-round pick for A.J. Brown, they envisioned Mike Vrabel’s former player to be an immediate fit in the offense. While he missed the past four weeks with a high ankle sprain, the Patriots are getting a horrible return on their investment. While Brown has a long time to make things right, after leaving his Patriots debut with the ankle injury following a lackluster 26-yard performance, he dropped a whopping four passes in Sunday’s game. That’s not acceptable for any receiver, let alone a three-time Pro Bowler.

Los Angeles Rams

What happened to being Super Bowl favorites? That dream is dead. While a Lombardi Trophy could eventually still come back into play, the Rams have now fallen to 2-4, with a downright embarrassing loss to the Arizona Cardinals. This team is still very well-coached, and they have elite veteran leaders on both sides of the ball, but the Rams need to wake up. Now.

Indianapolis Colts

While they were with it until the game clock expired, the Indianapolis Colts were one of the NFL’s biggest letdowns in Week 6. How do you lose to a winless Tennessee Titans team that generated just 186 yards of offense? The Colts found a way, despite having 399 yards and winning the time of possession battle by 17 minutes and change. Of course, committing three turnovers is a recipe for disaster.

New York Giants

While J.J. McCarthy nearly saved the day after the New York Giants fell behind by 24 points with under 10 minutes remaining, falling behind that much to a one-win New Orleans Saints team is the problem here. Jameis Winston’s turnover-prone ways returned, with the former No. 1 overall pick tossing two picks before getting benched for the final frame. The Giants’ defense couldn’t generate any sacks, let up four passing touchdowns, and allowed 175 rushing yards and another score. Aside from Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely, the Giants were bad at everything, until McCarthy arrived.
