The government has held talks with representatives of two UK universities to explore academic partnerships with Pakistani institutions, including potential cooperation with the University of Hertfordshire and the University for the Creative Arts.
A delegation led by The Millennium Universal College (TMUC) chief Faisal Mushtaq, accompanied by Professor Anthony Woodman of the University of Hertfordshire and Professor Lyndsay Duthie of the University for the Creative Arts, visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in Islamabad to discuss opportunities for academic cooperation.
The discussions focused on building institutional links, exchanging academic expertise and exploring collaboration between Pakistani and British educational institutions.
The University of Hertfordshire offers programs across a range of disciplines, while the University for the Creative Arts specializes in fields including architecture, fashion, graphic design, fine art, photography, film and media.
The meeting explored possible avenues for international academic cooperation, but no specific agreements, programs, or funding commitments were announced in the statement.
The engagement was part of efforts to connect Pakistani educational institutions with international counterparts and expand cooperation in the education sector.
