Daewoong Highlighted Customized Nabota Techniques as South American Sales Continued Rapid Growth Daewoong Pharmaceutical held 'Nabota Master Class (NMC) LATAM 2026,' an academic program for medical professionals, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for two days from on Oct. 13 to 14.
Held under the theme "Enhancing the Completeness of Aesthetic Medicine," the event drew about 200 medical professionals from six countries: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Panama. It was the largest NMC event ever in terms of multinational medical participation. Seven global speakers invited from South Korea, Brazil, Argentina and the United Arab Emirates shared clinical experience and expertise, highlighting the academic value of Nabota.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Nabota has built a unique position by becoming the first botulinum toxin made in South Korea to obtain product approval in Argentina. Starting with its entry into Panama in 2015, it has now been launched in 12 major Latin American countries, including Brazil and Chile. In particular, Nabota's sales in South America over the most recent three years posted a compound annual growth rate of 20%, significantly outpacing the average growth of the global botulinum toxin market.
This NMC focused on customized training that reflected the treatment environments and patient characteristics of local medical professionals in Latin America. Going beyond procedure-centered education, it featured strengthened clinical approaches that take into account the anatomical characteristics and facial expression patterns of Latin patients. In the theoretical lectures, lifting and skin quality improvement strategies using "NabOlift" and "NabOglow," Nabota's differentiated procedure protocols, were introduced.
In addition to aesthetic purposes, the program also covered a broad range of applications, including functional anatomy needed for hyperhidrosis treatment and masseter procedures. In the live demonstration session, compound procedure methods and actual injection techniques were demonstrated, including "Glowtox," which combines botulinum toxin and skin boosters to improve skin quality. Participating medical professionals shared know-how that could be applied immediately in clinical settings through question-and-answer sessions.
Latin America is a strategic stronghold where demand for medical aesthetics is rapidly increasing, led by Brazil. According to market research firm Grand View Research, the Latin American aesthetic injectables market is expected to reach $520.30 million in 2025 and grow at a compound annual rate of 9.0% through 2033. Argentina is also a major market, with a high annual average growth rate of 9.3% expected.
Yoon Joon-soo, head of Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Nabota Business Division, said, "This event served as a venue to explore the diverse potential uses of Nabota based on the accumulated expertise of medical professionals from each country," adding that the company would continue exchanges with medical professionals worldwide.
