Pamela Mtanga is staging a full-scale television comeback, and she's not doing it quietly. The presenter and digital creator is set to appear on two separate shows in 2026, covering everything from lifestyle entertainment to reality dating.
Mtanga joins musician and content creator Zulu Mkhathini as co-host of VIP Lounge, a magazine and lifestyle show airing on channel 161. The programme covers trending conversations, culture and the latest happenings across South Africa. She is also confirmed as host of Elevator Love Mzansi, a new reality dating show on Mzansi Magic that premieres on 18 October.
Pamela Mtanga on returning to the small screen
For Mtanga, stepping back in front of television cameras carries personal significance. She has been away from the small screen for a few years, making both projects feel like a meaningful milestone in her career. In a press release, she described what the moment means to her:
"I'm really excited to be joining 'VIP Lounge'. It's been a couple of years since I've been on TV, so that makes this opportunity all the more special. I've always wanted to be part of television that feels current, fun, and connected to what's happening in Mzansi right now. I'm also excited to share the space with Zulu; we've already had so much fun putting it together, and I can't wait for everyone to finally see it."
A career that goes far beyond television
Mtanga's profile stretches well beyond presenting. She has carved out a strong reputation as one of South Africa's leading style influencers, with work spanning fashion, brand activations and digital content creation.
In 2022, Meta selected her as the only South African included in its global Creators of Tomorrow campaign, which spotlights emerging digital voices. Her fashion influence has also been formally recognised, earning her the Glamour Style Influencer of the Year award in 2025 and the Top Personality and Influencer title at the Youth-Owned Brands Awards.
The year has already kept her in demand before either show even launched. She hosted the National Arts and Culture Awards, broadcast on SABC 1, earlier in 2026. In August, she fronted the Malondie SS26 x Vaseline Cera-Glow Fashion Experience and returned as master of ceremonies for Brutal Fruit's The Pink Table event. With two television shows, major fashion events and high-profile ceremonies already on her 2026 résumé, Mtanga is having one of her busiest years yet, and the season is far from over.
