LS Securities (078020) is sharply cutting trading fees on domestic futures and options. The brokerage lowered its KOSPI 200 futures fee to less than one-tenth of the previous level for new and dormant online investors, and extended the discount to automated trading through its API as well as its HTS and MTS platforms.
LS Securities said on the 14th that it will run the fee discount campaign for new and dormant online domestic futures and options accounts through Dec. 31. The discount covers domestic exchange-traded derivatives broadly, including KOSPI 200 futures, KOSDAQ 150 futures, KOSPI 200 options, single-stock futures and U.S. dollar futures, with the same terms applying to night-session products. The trading fee on KOSPI 200 futures falls to 0.00025104% from 0.003%, while the KOSPI 200 options fee drops to 0.012654% from 0.1%.
Investors qualify if they open a new futures and options account or have had no trading activity in the three months before the application date. Executing just one or more derivatives contracts during the campaign period automatically extends the discount by one month. Investors who meet a trading volume threshold of 33 billion won ($23 million) in futures or 1 billion won ($700,000) in options during the campaign will also be offered a separately negotiated fee rate after it ends.
The fee benefits apply to orders placed through LS Securities' proprietary trading platforms, Toohon HTS and Toohon MTS, as well as to automated trading orders routed through its Open API and xing API. "We designed this campaign to meaningfully ease the fee burden investors feel when trading derivatives," an LS Securities official said. "We will continue to expand our infrastructure and support programs so that everyone from individual investors to professional quant traders can trade in an optimal environment."
