MOSCOW, October 15. /TASS/. Russian oil companies are ready to start shipments of diesel fuel to global markets at any moment, with commercial terms being negotiated now, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week.
Moscow plans to continue importing gasoline at least until the end of 2026 for supplying the market and replenishing reserves, he added.
TASS has gathered Novak's key statements.
Diesel supplies
The first supplies of Russian diesel to the US could take place in at least 2-3 weeks: "To carry out the shipments, it is necessary to conclude a contract and load the fuel, charter a vessel and dispatch it to the consumer, which takes 2-3 weeks. Therefore, it is probably necessary to conclude an agreement as soon as possible."
Russian oil companies are ready to start supplying diesel fuel to global markets at any moment: "Our companies are ready to [start] shipments immediately, at any moment."
Negotiations on commercial terms are "currently underway."
Russia plans to continue importing gasoline at least until the end of 2026 for supplying the market and replenishing reserves: "We will continue imports at least until the end of the year as we need to both supply the domestic market and increase reserves, which went down in the summer period to meet domestic demand."
The volume of imported gasoline on the Russian market remains stable at 10%.
Ban on LPG exports
Authorities are currently discussing the possibility of banning the export of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by non-producers until the end of 2026: "No decision has been made yet, but overall, given the current state of the LPG market, the Energy Ministry is considering this option. We will see what proposals it puts forward."
