The Zamfara state governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2027 general elections, Alhaji Sani Yusuf Danmasani, has commenced strategic consultations and political engagements aimed at winning the forthcoming polls.
Speaking with journalists in Maradun on Saturday, Danmasani said part of his winning strategy is to embark on aggressive youth mobilisation across all wards and local government areas of the state.
He said his team will also hold town hall meetings across the 14 local government areas to market the Labour Party’s development plans and programmes designed to move the state forward.
According to him, the Labour Party is fully committed to rebuilding and developing Zamfara state if given the mandate by the electorate in 2027.
“The Labour Party has a robust and practical plan to bring sustainable development in various critical sectors, especially education, economy and security, which are the major challenges facing our dear state,” he said.
Danmasani disclosed that the party will develop a comprehensive economic blueprint that will serve as a roadmap for the economic recovery and development of Zamfara.
On the security challenges bedeviling the state, he said the party will deploy a holistic and intelligence-driven strategy to tackle insecurity and restore peace for socio-economic activities to thrive.
“Labour Party is deeply concerned about what is happening in Zamfara State and the entire North-West region. Security of lives and property will be our top priority,” he stressed.
He further explained that if elected, the party will prioritise poverty alleviation through youth inclusiveness in government programmes and policies.
“We shall make skills acquisition programmes compulsory for our youths so that they can become economically independent right at a tender age,” he added.
According to him, the initiative is aimed at reducing over dependence of youths on government jobs after graduation and enabling them to establish and own independent businesses after completing their training at various vocational centres.
