The Tennessee Titans have struggled offensively during the first six weeks of the 2026 NFL season, but one surprising statistic shows they have been nearly flawless in a crucial area. Despite their 1-5 record, the Titans are tied for the NFL lead in third-and-1 and fourth-and-1 conversions so far.

According to the graphic above, shared by NFL insider Ari Meirov on X, Tennessee has converted all seven opportunities in those situations, for a perfect 100% conversion rate. Only the Cincinnati Bengals share the same perfect conversion rate, also converting all seven of their attempts.
While Tennessee's seven attempts represent a relatively small sample size, its ability to consistently gain the necessary yardage in critical situations is an encouraging development. If the Titans can combine their short-yardage success with improved production on earlier downs, the offense could take another step forward as the season progresses.
Following a win over the Indianapolis Colts that saw Tennessee score on all five of their offensive possessions in the second half, the Titans will look to build on their first victory when they host the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.
