Dr. Johncrownfit Kayode Anifowose has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 Governorship Election.
He was mentioned among 13 governorship candidates published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on 10 October 2026.
According to a statement, his emergence signals a bold political vision founded on righteousness, economic transformation, social welfare and accountable leadership, under the banner of God’s Political Kingdom Government—a proposed model of ethical, people-centred and development-driven governance.
Anifowose is a political visionary, patriot, reformer, social liberator, realtor and consultant. He is the Convener of the Coalition for New Nigeria (CNN), President of the Save Africa and Save the World Project (SAWOP), and proponent of God’s Political Kingdom Government.
His political philosophy is rooted in national transformation, institutional reform, social justice and the conviction that public office must be exercised as a responsibility to humanity rather than an instrument of personal advantage.
With a 22-year vision for the transformation of Nigeria and the wider world, Anifowose envisions Ogun State as the birthplace of a replicable model of governance capable of inspiring holistic development across the Nigerian Federation.

His philosophy draws inspiration from the progressive development legacy of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, particularly its emphasis on education, healthcare, agricultural advancement, economic planning and social welfare. He aspires to renew these principles through a contemporary approach that places human dignity, productivity and public accountability at the heart of government.
At the centre of his manifesto is Operation Feed Ogun State, a comprehensive food-security initiative designed to strengthen agriculture, mechanised farming, food processing and distribution whilst reducing hunger and supporting vulnerable households.
Other flagship commitments include free and accessible healthcare, free tuition in eligible public primary and secondary schools, a proposed marriage sponsorship programme for qualified and consenting adults, industrialisation, stable electricity, massive employment creation, and the economic empowerment of youths and women.
His wider agenda encompasses urban transformation, rural integration, local government autonomy in accordance with constitutional provisions, affordable housing, improved roads, community security, environmental protection, technology and innovation, support for elderly citizens, and the development of commerce, tourism and small businesses. He also proposes a government anchored on transparency, financial discipline, merit, the rule of law and an uncompromising commitment to combating corruption.
According to the philosophy underpinning his political project, the success of government must be measured not merely by economic statistics or the grandeur of public infrastructure, but by the extent to which ordinary citizens experience tangible improvements in their living conditions. For Anifowose, righteousness must find expression in justice, compassion must produce social protection, and leadership must demonstrate its worth through measurable service to the people.
