Hilary Swank has announced she is expecting baby No. 3.
Swank, 52, shared a fun video with her husband, Philip Schneider, and their three-year-old twins — daughter Aya and son Ohm — appearing as dancing glow-in-the-dark stick figures.
When Hilary turns around, she reveals a stick figure baby in her stomach.
“A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next, this one releases in December,” the two-time Oscar winner captioned the Instagram post, which included a winky-face, baby and heart-hands emojis.
Congratulatory comments
The comments section was filled with messages of congratulations and heart emojis from fans and celebrities alike, including Drew Barrymore and Michelle Monaghan.
One user wrote: “At 39 I’m still single and childless. You are literally giving me hope that the life I want could still happen for me. Congratulations to you and your beautiful family.”
Swank thanked the commenter before assuring, “It can! I always go by the adage, things happen in their time, not ours, and that has always been the case for me.”

The Yellowjackets actress added: “But of course trusting that, for me, has always been the hardest part. Wishing you unwavering trust and abundant beauty on your journey!”

Expecting twins
Swank first became a mother when she welcomed her twins in April 2023, three months shy of her 49th birthday.
Alongside a snap of herself facing towards the sunrise while holding the babies, Swank wrote on Instagram: “It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it.”
She announced her pregnancy during an October 2022 appearance on Good Morning America while promoting her show, Alaska Daily.
“I’m so happy to share it with you and with America right now. This is something I’ve been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I’m going to be a mom! I’m going to be a mom and not just of one but of two,” Swank revealed.
“It’s so nice to be able to talk about it and share it,” she added at the time. “It’s far enough along that I can share it. And I am sharing it right now for the first time.”
Best of both worlds
And in an interview with People earlier this year, she spoke out about having children in her late 40s.
“It just worked out that I had babies this much later in life,” she told the outlet in May. “It wasn’t that I didn’t want them earlier. There were a lot of things that kept that from happening, and so I can really take time to be with them.”
She said how her younger years were dedicated to her career, which she referred to as her “baby” at the time.
“I knew I wanted kids someday, but I wasn’t planning what that would look like,” she noted. “I know it’s so different for everyone, but for me, if I had had a kid in my 20s or my 30s, I think I’d be a much different parent than I am now.”
Swank added: “I feel like I have that more kind of ability to really give them my attention in a way that I wouldn’t have as much at that point because it would’ve been pulled between the two in a very distinct way.”
