Popular Dhallywood actress Moushumi has been granted permanent residency in the United States.
The actress herself announced the news of receiving a green card almost three years after moving to the country.
She shared the happy news with fans and well-wishers while attending a programme following the founding anniversary of Channel i in the United States on Saturday.
Moushumi moved to the USA in mid-2023. She has been staying there since then.
In addition to taking care of her daughter Faiza’s education, the actress was also taking care of her ailing mother’s treatment.
However, despite being in the USA for a long time, she was reportedly facing some restrictions in coming and going in the country due to not having a permanent residence permit.
The wait is finally over for Moushumi, who finally received her green card.
Under the US immigration system, green card holders are granted the right to live and work in the country as permanent residents.
They are also eligible to apply for US citizenship at a later date if they meet certain requirements.
