Jarell Quansah has addressed speculation linking him with a return to the Premier League, with Arsenal reportedly among the clubs interested in signing the former Liverpool defender. Since joining Bayer Leverkusen, the Englishman has continued to develop, establishing himself as a regular starter and attracting attention for his performances in Germany.
Quansah has made considerable progress since leaving Liverpool, demonstrating maturity and consistency as he gains experience at the highest level. His development has strengthened his reputation as one of the English defenders attracting attention, while his performances have also brought him into discussions surrounding the national team. He even made the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Arsenal have reportedly maintained an interest in signing him since last season, having recognised his potential and the progress he has made in the Bundesliga. His regular involvement at Leverkusen has further enhanced his appeal, with the Gunners continuing to consider players who could strengthen their defensive options.
Arsenal continue to monitor Quansah
Quansah had already shown his quality during his time at Liverpool, but his development in Germany has provided further evidence of his ability. He is now a regular starter at Leverkusen and has become one of the important players in their squad, making him an attractive option for clubs seeking defensive reinforcements.
Arsenal view him as a player who could help them maintain their competitiveness in England and Europe. His experience at Liverpool, combined with the progress he has made in Germany, could make him a valuable addition if the Gunners decide to pursue a transfer.
However, reported interest does not necessarily mean that a move is imminent. Any potential deal would depend on several factors, including Leverkusen’s position and whether Arsenal decide to make a formal approach.

Quansah keeps his attention on Leverkusen
The defender has now been asked about Arsenal’s reported interest, but he has made it clear that his immediate priority is performing for his current club. Quansah is determined to continue improving and playing regularly rather than becoming distracted by speculation about his future.
He addressed the situation, as quoted by the Metro:
‘I only have to focus on playing the season, playing as many games as I can and trying to improve. That’s all I can do.
‘If I’m in the conversation then that’s for another day but we’ve got a massively important game and it’s another step to becoming a better player.
‘That’s the way I’m looking at it at the moment. You can’t get too ahead of yourself because anything could be around the corner.
‘I’m just trying to stay levelheaded and keep pushing.’
Quansah’s comments underline his determination to remain focused on his development. Arsenal may continue monitoring him, but for now, the defender is concentrating on his performances for Leverkusen and taking his career one step at a time
