Becky G has just joined the Guess family. The singer and actor stars in a new denim campaign for the classic American clothing brand, called “Press Play,” where she models the label’s low-rise B jeans in a Y2K-inspired shoot that shows off her unique style and infectious charisma.
“I don’t recall there being too many music-focused Guess girls—there’s been a lot of models, a lot of people of influence—but I feel really honored to be one of the musicians, as well as one of the Latinas, that gets to be a part of the Guess girl ‘Hall of Fame,’” Becky G says in a new exclusive interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

Shot by Valentin Herfray, the photos seem straight out of the early 2000s, with Becky G, born Rebbeca Marie Gomez, sporting the form-fitting, low-rise styles with stripped-back staples, like white tees, matching denim jackets, and gold stilettos. “It was kind of an obvious less is more,” she says of the styling.
“I have a shorter torso, so a low-rise doesn’t always look low-rise on me, but even then, these jeans fit me in such a perfect way,” Becky G notes. “There’s something that I just love about a timeless jean—the way that it fits, the way that it feels, and the way that you feel in it... I think that something that feels versatile, something that feels transitional, is literally me in real life.”
