The Washington Commanders lost to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night by a 23-17 final score.
With this loss, the Commanders now have a 1-4-1 record and remain at the bottom of the NFC East. This loss stung even more because they lost one of their key offensive weapons to a scary injury.
Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin was forced to exit the game late in the first half after suffering a knee injury. The 31-year-old had to be carted off the field after falling down hard on his knee while running.

With the Commanders trying to get their season back on track, it is certainly bad news that McLaurin has suffered a concerning injury. The two-time Pro Bowler has been an important part of their roster for a long time, and replacing him while he is out will not be easy.
In five games so far this season with the Commanders, McLaurin has posted one touchdown, 15 receptions, and 230 receiving yards. This is after he had three touchdowns, 38 receptions, and 582 receiving yards in 10 games for the Commanders during this past season.
