Angel Reese and the swimsuit photo that once again captivated social media in the middle of the title race

Angel Reese once again drew attention off the court because of a series of photos in a blue swimsuit that she shared during the midseason break for the WNBA All-Star Weekend. The images, taken during her vacation, received numerous comments from her followers and circulated again on social media this week.

The post resurfaced just as Reese is going through one of the best sporting moments of her career. The Atlanta Dream player scored 22 points, the highest total for her team, in the victory that closed out the series against the New York Liberty and allowed Atlanta to advance undefeated, with a 5-0 record, in these playoffs.

The photographs were originally published during the All-Star Weekend break, one of the few moments of rest Reese had throughout the season. In them she appears in a blue swimsuit and they were also shared by different accounts dedicated to following athletes and celebrities. “STUNNER ALL STAR BARBIE”, one of her followers wrote in one of the reactions.

Another user joked that their phone had received an alert for “excessive heat”, while a third pointed out that Reese had been posting images constantly during those days off. The photos are part of a side of the player that she has already shown on other occasions and that also led her to work as a model for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

In sporting terms, Reese's season has been her best since arriving in the WNBA. She finished the regular season averaging 16.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game, numbers that made her one of the most important pieces of the Atlanta Dream.

Her performance also earned individual recognition. Reese was named the WNBA Defensive Player of the Year, an award she had already set as a goal at the beginning of the season. “I told my coaches at the start of the season that I was going to be Defensive Player of the Year,” she said.

The center also delivered a decisive performance in the game that secured Atlanta’s spot in the Finals. After the game, she recalled that she had spoken publicly about the possibility of reaching that stage and emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset throughout the season.

Now Reese faces the most important challenge of the year: trying to cap off her great season with the WNBA title.
