The Los Angeles Chargers are getting ready for their Week 6 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.
While most of the players are getting ready, a few members of the team will be on the inactive list.
S Derwin James (hamstring), WR Tre' Harris (hamstring), CB Rodney Shelley (hamstring), CB Donte Jackson (hamstring), OLB Bud Dupree (neck), LG Kayode Awosika (fibula) and RT Joe Alt (neck) are all out for the Chargers against the Chiefs.
It's a lot of key players who are out for the Chargers. Alt's injury woes are bleeding into 2026 after he was on the sidelines for most of 2025. James is also missing the game, which marks three straight absences for the former All-Pro defensive back.
LB Daiyan Henley (knee), DT Dalvin Tomlinson (hamstring), WR Brenen Thompson (quad) and DT Jamaree Caldwell (knee) were all on the injury report, but are all active.
Meanwhile, the inactives for the Chiefs are WR Rashee Rice, TE Jared Wiley, QB Garrett Nussmeier, DB Jadon Canady, DE Jack Pyburn, OT Diego Pounds and OT Josh Simmons.
Rice is the most notable of the Chiefs inactives, but his absence isn't much of a surprise. He hasn't played since Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.
Kickoff between the Chargers and Chiefs is set for 1:25 p.m. PT inside Arrowhead Stadium. Fans can watch the game on CBS or stream it on the Paramount Plus app.
