Wuben's G6 is a keychain flashlight that is just under 9 mm slim. According to Wuben, the G6 sports three light sources with a maximum runtime of 76 hours. The manufacturer will launch the product via a Kickstarter campaign.
Wuben has teased a new keychain flashlight. The new ultra-slim G6 will launch via a Kickstarter campaign on October 22. While crowdfunding in general is risky, Wuben is an established company. Therefore, Kickstarter is more like a marketing tool. It also helps companies determine how many units need to be produced.
Some specifications are already available. The G6 uses a 7075 aluminum body and offers three light sources. The main light uses a 500-lumen LED. A side light offers 100 lumens. Finally, the third light is a 1-lumen red light as a signal light. Take this with a grain of salt though. Wuben's blog entry, which is not reachable from every country, says it's 10 lumens.
The G6 also includes a small retractable utility blade to cut small things, similar to those on a multi-tool. The blade length is 36.4 mm.
At 65.8 x 34.2 x 8.6 mm, the flashlight is very slim. Its weight is 1.41 oz. Wuben claims a maximum runtime of 76 hours, thanks to the 400 mAh rated battery. A USB Type-C connector allows the flashlight to be recharged.
Exact runtimes will probably remain unknown until the launch of the Kickstarter campaign. There is also no word on pricing yet.
