PETALING JAYA: Pahang police have classified a brawl between two students and an individual outside a school in Bentong in June as requiring “no further action” after the victim’s father withdrew the report.
Acting Bentong police chief Azmi Mahmod said the victim's 38-year-old father lodged a report on June 16, claiming his son had been beaten and threatened by the two students.
Police arrested the duo, aged 15 and 16, on the same day to assist in the investigation.
Both were remanded before being released on police bail.
The case was investigated for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
Azmi said police referred the investigation papers back to the deputy public prosecutor (DPP) on July 15 for further review.
However, the DPP decided to take no further action after the father withdrew his report and said he did not wish to pursue the case.
Police did not say when or why he withdrew the report.
