Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Around 200 Chinese companies are showcasing technologies and products in industrial manufacturing, digital technology, green energy and consumer electronics at the second China-Central Asia (Uzbekistan) 2026 Trade Exhibition, which opened in Tashkent on 14 October. The event is being held at the Tashkent International Exhibition Centre and will run until 16 October.
The exhibition was organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The opening ceremony was attended by Liu Yue, the council's representative in Kazakhstan, and Azamat Rakhmonov, head of the department responsible for developing cooperation with China at Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade.
The event is being held for the second consecutive year amid China's and Central Asian countries' designation of 2025–2026 as years of high-quality cooperation development. Its objectives include expanding trade and economic ties, strengthening the strategic partnership between Beijing and Tashkent, and supporting the implementation of agreements reached at the China-Central Asia summit.
Covering 4,800 square metres, the exhibition features five thematic zones and a separate section titled “China's Opportunities”. Visitors can explore developments in intelligent manufacturing, renewable energy, electronics and trade in services. More than 30% of participating companies are specialised, high-tech or innovation-focused enterprises.
Exhibitors include China CAMC Engineering (CAMCE), which is presenting its experience in international engineering and contracting projects and the establishment of production facilities. Yonyou Network Technology is showcasing digital solutions for international markets, while Focus Technology is presenting services for cross-border e-commerce and foreign trade.
Lanxin Robotics is demonstrating industrial mobile robots. LAISAI is presenting intelligent laser positioning and marking systems, as well as equipment for engineering and geodetic surveying.
The organisers expect the exhibition to promote industrial cooperation between China and Uzbekistan by bringing manufacturers and suppliers of specialised products together in one venue. The initiative is also intended to strengthen links between participants in production supply chains.
As part of the exhibition, the China-Uzbekistan Investment Cooperation Forum was held with representatives of chambers of commerce and industry, sectoral associations and businesses from both countries. Business-to-business (B2B) meetings are also being arranged to establish direct commercial contacts and help manufacturers and buyers align their interests.
The additional programme includes meetings on trade and economic cooperation with China's Shaanxi province and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade intends to continue supporting business contacts between companies from the two countries, with a focus on the digital economy, new energy sources and intelligent manufacturing. The organisers view the exhibition as a platform for expanding bilateral cooperation and advancing the Belt and Road Initiative.
