Shillong, Oct 19: Nongkseh SS&CC will face Meghalaya Police FT (MLP) in the final of the Shillong Sports Association (SSA) Super Cup 2026 at the SSA Stadium in Polo on Monday evening. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
Both teams enter the title clash after stunning victories over Shillong’s top football sides in the semifinals. Nongkseh defeated newly crowned Shillong Premier League (SPL) champions Mawlai SC 1-0, while Meghalaya Police edged past defending Super Cup champions Shillong Lajong FC by the same margin.
The final sets up an intriguing contest between two sides that have overcome formidable opponents to reach the summit clash.
Nongkseh will draw confidence from their recent record against Meghalaya Police, having registered a commanding 7-1 victory over the police outfit during the SPL 2026 campaign.
However, Meghalaya Police will look to build on their semifinal triumph over Shillong Lajong and overturn their recent record against Nongkseh.
With both teams having knocked out major contenders, Monday’s encounter promises a competitive battle for the Super Cup title under the floodlights at Polo.
