PAJU — The city of Paju in Gyeonggi Province will launch village bus route No. 079, connecting the Haeoreum village district with Unjeong Station and Unjeong Jungang Station, starting on the 14th.
The route departs from Unjeong Station and runs through the Garam, Sannae, Haeoreum and Mulhyanggi village districts before reaching Unjeong Jungang Station.
Three buses will make 36 trips a day at intervals of 25 to 30 minutes. The first bus leaves at 5 a.m. and the last at 11:30 p.m., with the same schedule on weekdays and weekends.
Until now, the Haeoreum district had no direct route to Unjeong Station, causing inconvenience for residents and for students commuting to and from school.
The new route is also expected to make transfers easier between Unjeong Station on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line and Unjeong Jungang Station on the Great Train Express (GTX)-A line.
