Iran will retaliate against any US threats to its energy infrastructure, Acting Oil Minister Hamid Bovard has warned.
Bovard said Tehran would respond to threats against its energy facilities with “precise, appropriate retaliatory measures at the right time”.

This comes as President Donald Trump said the US may have to target Pickaxe Mountain, a site linked to Iran's nuclear program, as he aims to ensure Tehran does not get a nuclear weapon.
In an interview with Newsmax on Thursday night, Trump also said he would not use a nuclear weapon in the war on Iran, which began in February with US-Israeli strikes.
Separately, Iran’s navy reported that an oil tanker had caught fire in the Sea of Oman after allegedly switching off its tracking systems and attempting to enter a restricted area.
The navy described the vessel as a “violating tanker” but did not provide further details about the cause of the fire.
