Well, this is a buzzkill for Dodgers fans.
With the Brewers taking a 2-0 lead in Milwaukee to start the National League Championship Series, the Dodgers were hoping some home cooking could right the ship with the series shifting to Los Angeles Wednesday night.
Then this happened.

That’s Brewers leadoff hitter Jackson Chourio hitting a leadoff home run off of two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell on the first pitch of the game for a quick 1-0 Milwaukee lead. Snell left a fastball over the heart of the plate, and Chourio made him pay.
The fans who’d beaten Los Angeles rush hour traffic to show up for the 5 p.m. local start barely had time to get settled in their seats before the air was sucked out of Dodger Stadium.
The good thing for the Dodgers about a leadoff home run is that it only counts for one run, and there’s plenty of time to make up ground.
But with Shohei Ohtani in a slump and the Dodgers coming off a Game 2 loss in which reigning World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto got shelled, they were in desperate need for something to go right in Game 3. This was not that.
