Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan national team captain Eldor Shomurodov helped Istanbul side Basaksehir secure a 2-1 victory over Gaziantep in the eighth round of the Turkish league, scoring the opening goal and providing an assist.
Shomurodov put Basaksehir ahead in the eighth minute, converting a pass from Bozok.
Serdar Dursun equalised for Gaziantep in the 66th minute, but Umut Gunes scored the winning goal for the hosts in the 82nd minute, with Shomurodov providing the assist.
Another Uzbekistan international, Abbasbek Fayzullaev, did not feature in the match.
