We've had the joy of watching his entire back catalogue to bring you our pick of his best work. And, we promise you, his performances are every bit as mesmerising as his portrayal of the Harrigan's ruthless fixer, Harry Da Souza.
From a film that's like MobLand (but better), to his terrifying turn in Peaky Blinders and his television debut in a groundbreaking wartime series – we've covered all ground. So, remotes at the ready, here are the 8 outstanding Tom Hardy dramas to watch now on ITV, Netflix, the BBC and more.
Legend

Double trouble! Tom delivers an incredible performance as he plays both Ronnie and Reggie Kray in this sleek biographical crime thriller. The film charts their meteoric rise and fall as indelible East End mobsters who monopolised the 1960s London nightclub scene. Reggie falls in love with Frances (Emily Browning), who he struggles to get on the straight and narrow for. Meanwhile, Ronnie’s unpredictable temperament and mental instability make him a loose cannon – and culminate in a killing which seals their downfall. It's like MobLand but better. Legend is available to watch now on Prime Video.
Taboo

Tom Hardy and Stephen Graham – can you name a better combination? Taboo is a gritty period drama set in 1814 London where Tom plays businessman James Delaney (Tom Hardy). He returns to the UK after 12 years in Africa following the death of his father – and he’s on the hunt for revenge. Graham stars as an Artful Dodger-style character called Atticus, who works as an informant to James and is battling the powerful East India Company for control of his family’s business, while dark secrets of his own come to the surface. Taboo is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
Wuthering Heights

While you might have seen the latest blockbuster adaptation starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, in our opinion, this version is even better. Tom Hardy takes on the dark and brooding Heathcliff, with Charlotte Riley playing Cathy. Screenwriter Peter Bowker traces their doomed love story from when Cathy’s father takes Heathcliff in as an orphan to Cathy’s marriage to Linton, which triggers Heathcliff’s violent pursuit of revenge. Wuthering Heights is available to watch now on ITVX.
Peaky Blinders

Tom takes on one of his most memorable roles as Alfie Solomons, a Jewish mob boss in this gangster family epic. Alfie becomes an uneasy ally of Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) after he asks for Tommy’s help with the war between the Jews and Italians in series 2. Despite not being part of the Shelby clan, Alfie came one of the franchise’s most iconic characters with his erratic behaviour, bizarre voice and violent outbursts. Available to watch now on BBC iPlayer and Netflix.
Band Of Brothers

Tom made his TV acting debut in HBO’s hard-hitting wartime miniseries Band Of Brothers. The drama, created by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, from 1942 to the end of World War II. It features a large ensemble cast, with each episode revolving around a single character and their story. Tom makes a small but memorable appearance as John A Janovec in the final two episodes as the war is coming to an end. He’s a confident and energetic soldier who’s stationed at a checkpoint and eager to get home. It’s a poignant watch based on real-life soldiers. Band Of Brothers is available to watch now on Prime Video.
Cape Wrath

Fancy a crime thriller? Cape Wrath centres around a nuclear family made up of Danny (David Morrissey), his wife, Evelyn (Lucy Cohu), and their teenagers, Zoe (Felicity Jones) and Mark (Harry Treadaway). The series begins with the family moving away to a secluded suburban community for a fresh start. But there's a catch – they’re actually in a witness protection scheme. The home is far from the safe haven it appears to be, and a revenge murder rocks the town. Tom plays a charming handyman, Jack Donnelly, but he’s hiding a dark secret. Cape Wrath is available to watch now on Channel 5.
Oliver Twist

It's true, he has a penchant for playing monsters. Tom joins an all-star cast to bring the brutal Bill Sikes to life. The five-part drama retells Charles Dickens’s Victorian classic and begins with Oliver (William Miller) arriving in London and meeting The Artful Dodger (Adam Arnold), who pulls him into Fagin’s (Timothy Spall) gang of pickpockets. It’s a dark and gritty adaptation, without forfeiting the central story we all know and love. Oliver Twist is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
The Virgin Queen

Now, for a different kind of period drama. The Virgin Queen tells the full sweep of the long and eventful life of England's iconic Queen Elizabeth I. Anne-Marie Duff is brilliant as the lead and Tom Hardy plays Robert Dudley – her childhood friend and great love who very nearly led to her downfall. It’s sumptuous and gripping. The Virgin Queen is available to watch now on Prime Video.
