Acemagic has introduced a new mini PC in China, the Acemagic W1-5400U. It's powered by the AMD Ryzen 3 5400U, an entry-level processor from the Cezanne line, hinting that the system will be affordable.
The Acemagic W1-5400U has been formally introduced in China, and it's essentially a budget-friendly mini PC with a relatively dated AMD processor. Specifically, it's powered by an entry-level option from the Cezanne lineup, the Ryzen 3 5400U.
This quad-core processor was released in 2021, and while it's old, it still has what it takes to handle office tasks, lightweight productivity workloads, and media. The RX Vega 6 iGPU is pretty weak compared to current integrated GPUs, but it can run light games and supports DirectX 12 Feature Level 12_1.
Acemagic further highlights the compact nature of the mini PC, noting that the chassis measures 0.68 liters. While it has a small form factor, there are two storage drives, and each of them should be capable of holding up to an 8TB SSD. The port configuration seems quite decent, with the promotional picture showing two USB-A and one USB-C port on the front.
On that note, the promotional picture shows a mini PC that looks identical to the Ryzen 7 H 255-equipped W1 (curr. $529.99 on Amazon). That suggests that the cooling setup might be the same, and the back may have a similar set of ports.
There's no word on the price or availability, but given that the W1-5400U is powered by a relatively dated processor, it should have an affordable launch price. Given that the other version of the mini PC is already available outside China, the Ryzen 3 5400U config is also expected to launch globally.
