Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of Uzbekistan's Presidential Administration, visited Ibn Haldun University and Yenidoğu School in Istanbul, accompanied by Najmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, to familiarize herself with their educational approaches and teaching methods.
During the visit, Mirziyoyeva examined the institutions' approaches to education, including their focus on teaching quality, developing students' potential and encouraging independent thinking.
"The teaching methods and approaches at these institutions sparked great interest in me. Particular attention is paid here to the quality of education, the realization of young people's potential, and the development of independent thinking skills," Mirziyoyeva wrote.

Following the visit, an agreement was reached to expand cooperation between educational institutions in Uzbekistan and Türkiye. The parties agreed to strengthen institutional ties, exchange educational experience and create additional opportunities for schoolchildren, university students and educators. Mirziyoyeva noted that the educational practices observed during the visit could provide opportunities for broader cooperation between the two countries. She also emphasized the role of education in bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
"The education sector is one of the key aspects of the friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye. Our cooperation in this area serves to facilitate the education and development of young people, broaden their worldviews, and help them get to know one another even better," she wrote.
Earlier Daryo reported that Uzbekistan and Türkiye have explored opportunities to strengthen tourism cooperation during talks between Uzbekistan's Tourism Committee Chairman Abdulaziz Akkulov and Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The discussions covered adopting Türkiye's experience in tourism management, developing tourism destinations, improving hotel infrastructure and introducing digital technologies.
Both sides also considered joint projects, professional exchanges and closer cooperation between tour operators through tourism forums and B2B meetings. Additional proposals included attracting Turkish investment to construct modern hotel complexes in Uzbekistan's regions, bringing international Turkish hotel brands to the country and improving air connectivity and digital tourism promotion.
