Every week during football season, it seems like Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry achieves some sort of NFL history.
And now, he’s on the verge of one more.
“Derrick Henry has recorded 37 career games with multiple touchdowns,” Polymarket Football posted to X on Thursday. “With one more such game, Henry would move ahead of Randy Moss for the 4th-most in NFL.”
Moss played for multiple NFL teams including the Minnesota Vikings. If accomplished, the three remaining ahead of Henry will be football legends Jerry Rice, LaDainian Tomlinson and Emmitt Smith.
The road to No. 4 isn’t going to be too smooth, however. Especially since Henry and the Ravens are due to face off against the Cincinnati Bengals, who have come a long way with their defense in just one season thanks to the addition of Jonathan Allen, Dexter Lawrence and Bryan Cook.
While they’ve moved the needle, it still may not be enough to handle a force like Henry.
Cincinnati is posting a -0.03 EPA per rush allowed making them the ninth-worst in the league. However, it’s Lawrence and Allen who have “combined for nine tackles for loss and 25 stops, defined as a play that results in positive EPA for the defense,” Clutch Points reported.
“In fact, despite the additions on the defensive line, the pass defense is where the Bengals have been more effective. Cincinnati is allowing -0.11 EPA per pass allowed, which just sneaks into the NFL’s top 10 this season.”
It’ll be interesting to see Henry go up against this defense to make history and move up in the ranks.
