Outlander: Blood of My Blood is back with its anticipated second season – and boy, has it opened up with a bang.
The premiere episode finally gave fans answers in regards to the fate of Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield), with time travel once again wreaking havoc on their love story. Similarly, there were "painful" decisions to be made for Brian (Jamie Roy) and Ellen (Harriet Slater) as the Jacobite uprising started to unfold.
Picking back up in 18th-century Scotland and in First World War Britain, the cast have already teased an especially high-stakes second run.
Harriet Slater told Radio Times that season 2 is "life and death, but on an even bigger scale". So, it's safe to say that fans will be patiently waiting for new episodes to see what more could unfold for the central couples.
