The power management subsystem updates were merged this week for Linux 7.4 along with the related ACPI and thermal control updates too.
On the power management side are several fixes to the ACPI CPPC code and a lot of device/hardware specific work, especially for AMD and Intel platforms.
On the AMD P-State driver side is initial support for maximum frequency capacity handling for AMD Zen 6 Ryzen client processors. For more info there see the prior article Linux 7.4 AMD P-State Driver Will Be Ready For Ryzen Zen 6 CPUs. There are also new Zen 6 tunings for the Energy Performance Preference (EPP) values across the performance, power, and low-power core types. That work was also covered previously on Phoronix in AMD Ryzen Zen 6 CPU Power Values Being Further Tuned For Linux. There are also some fixes for the AMD P-State driver in general.
On the Intel side, the Intel Rugged Panther Lake support has been added to the RAPL PowerCapping driver.

The ACPI pull request meanwhile is a rework to the ACPI device enumeration code, IOVT IOMMU support for ACPICA, and various fixes.
Lastly is the thermal pull request. On the thermal control side is Rugged Panther Lake support for the Intel TCC Cooling Thermal driver. The Intel int340x thermal driver has also fixed temperature reporting around zero degrees Celsius.
